Corrupted PST files, orphaned OST mailboxes, a dead Exchange store, an emptied Deleted Items folder. Our ISO-certified clean-room lab rebuilds email data from failed drives, servers and RAID arrays, with up to 100% recovery across Windows, Linux and macOS.
Most cases we see are one of these. Each has a different recovery path, which is why we diagnose before quoting.
Clicking, grinding or a drive that never spins up. Platters are read in the clean room, never on your machine.
Mail stores encrypted or mangled by malware. We work on a forensic image, not the original.
Outlook freezes or throws read errors because the sectors holding the PST are degrading.
DBX, NSF, EDB, OST and PST headers get damaged and the file becomes unmountable.
Purged mail is usually still on disk until it's overwritten. Stop using the machine now.
An abrupt power cut mid-write leaves the store in a dirty, inconsistent state.
Classic MS Exchange failures where the database won't mount or logs don't replay.
Fried PCB or NAND controller. The board is repaired or donor-swapped before imaging.
Legacy 2 GB PST limits corrupt the internal tables and take the mailbox down with them.
Mail server fails to boot after a RAID rebuild, patch or controller failure.
DIY tools like scanpst run in place and often make the damage permanent. We image first.
Half-finished Exchange or Google Workspace migration leaves mailboxes split or empty.
Evaluation and quotation are free. You pay only after we show you a verified list of recovered mail, and only if you approve it. Nothing recovered means nothing invoiced.
Every case follows the same audited path. You get a case ID at step one and can ask for status at any point.
An engineer, not a call centre, works out what failed and whether the media should be powered on again at all.
We collect the drive, server or laptop from your location, logged and sealed, or you drop it at a branch.
A full diagnostic report: the fault, the recoverable scope, the turnaround time and a fixed price.
Sector-level imaging in a Class 100 environment, then mailbox reconstruction from the image. The original is never written to.
Online or on-site, you check the recovered mailboxes, folders, contacts, calendars and attachments before paying.
Data is delivered on fresh encrypted media. Our working copies are sanitised to standard and the NDA stands permanently.
Email recovery is not just message bodies. A proper rebuild restores the whole mailbox structure so it mounts cleanly in your client again.
The first hour decides how much is recoverable.
Stop using the affected device or email account so nothing overwrites the lost data, and start the recovery process as soon as possible. Continued use, resyncing the account or running repair utilities is the single most common reason a recoverable case turns unrecoverable.
Deleted emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, attachments and entire mailbox folder structures, from Outlook PST and OST files, Exchange EDB stores, Lotus Notes NSF files, Outlook Express DBX files and server-side mailboxes.
Usually, yes. Deleted mail first sits in the Trash or Deleted Items folder. Even after that folder is emptied, the data typically remains on disk until new writes overwrite it, which is where specialised recovery comes in.
The data has already been overwritten, there is no backup of any kind, and standard recovery methods have already failed or were run repeatedly against the original media. Even then, a free diagnosis is worth doing before writing the case off.
Corruption stops the mailbox from opening at all. Older PST formats also carry a 2 GB size ceiling, and hitting it corrupts the file's internal tables, which shows up as Outlook crashing or a server refusing to serve the mailbox.
Yes. Every case runs under NDA, media is handled in a controlled lab with logged chain of custody, and our working copies are sanitised after delivery. Email data is usually the most sensitive data a business holds and we treat it that way.
Logical cases such as a corrupt PST are often done in one to three working days. Physical failures, RAID sets and multi-drive Exchange servers typically take longer, and one recent multi-drive server case was returned inside ten days. You get an estimated turnaround with the quote.
Diagnosis, pickup and verification are free, and the recovery price is quoted before any work starts, so there are no surprises. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing.
Very impressed. You guys recovered all the data from my daughter's laptop drive when two other places had given up on it.
Techchef recovered our data from three crashed drives and returned everything within ten days. For a business that size of downtime mattered.
Our IT organisation had a full server failure. 100% of the data was recovered and the communication through the case was clear throughout.
I would like to thank Techchef Data Recovery for their excellent support. They kept me updated at every stage instead of leaving me guessing.
Mobile data recovery done properly. Professional handling of sensitive material and delivered exactly what was promised.
Corrupt Outlook file with years of mail in it. Got the mailbox back with folders intact, which was the part I was most worried about.
Free consultation, free pickup, a fixed quote before any work starts, and an invoice only if you get your mail back.
